Tim's Story
September 2019 found Tim feeling tired, weak, and dizzy. Weeks of testing locally and at Mayo Clinic led to the diagnosis of MDS/MPN-Unclassified, an extremely rare blood cancer.
A bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant is the only cure.
Despite family members being tested, and an ongoing search of the world-wide marrow donor registry, no viable match for Tim has been found. Not only is Tim’s cancer remarkably rare, so is his HLA type.
So, our family is rolling up our sleeves to help find a match for Tim and, hopefully, in the process, help families across the globe also searching for a life-saving match.
Every life is beautiful. Together, we can make a difference for one, and for many. Thank you for your help, love, and support in this journey.
Tim says, “I cherish your positive thoughts and prayers.”
We couldn’t have said it any better ourselves.
